With three generations of Opticians involved in the business, the O'Donoghue family have been synonymous with optics since the 1960's. The ethos of the practice has always been about providing excellent patient care, something we strive to do from when you first arrive, through the examination and dispense, to when you walk out the door.

Sheila O'Sullivan - Practice Manager

Noeleen Loughlin - Optometrist/Director
Sheila has been a member of the Urban Optics team since the move to Scott’s Street in 2007 and in that time has progressed from Optical Assistant to Practice Manager. Her ability to make everyone feel at ease combined with her tremendous work ethic and professionalism makes her the perfect leader for our team.


Brid O'Callaghan - Senior Optical Assistant
Brid is a founding member of the team and invaluable to the practice. Often considered the face of Urban Optics, her exceptional customer service skills means she never forgets a name and she constantly ensures all at reception runs smoothly.
Derry O'Keeffe - Lab Technician
Derry began work as an apprentice back when Pat first started the business and has been an integral member of the team ever since, glazing, assembling and repairing spectacles. His knowledge and efficiency allows us to dispense within the hour and he has been vital in many glass-breakage emergencies!

Siobhan Corridan - Optical Assistant

Adrienne Walsh - Optical Assistant
Since joining Urban Optics in 2011, Adrienne has used her 13 years prior experience in sales and retail to assist customers in finding the perfect frame, shape, style and colour to suit everyone. Adrienne loves interacting with customers, whether it's choosing the perfect frame or a pair of sunglasses for that someone special.

Aisling O’Keefe - Optical Assistant

Alison Mulqueen BsC
Alison has been a member of the Urban Optics team since she began training for her optometry degree in 2017. Since graduating in 2020, she has really enjoyed working as an optometrist, with a keen interest in paediatrics, myopia control, low vision, medical retina, and dry eye.
"My goal is to provide my patients with great vision, a caring service, and educate them on how they can best protect their eyes and visual health."
